Who is DYW of Florida?

  Distinguished Young Women is a national scholarship program that inspires high school girls to develop their full, individual potential through a fun, transformative experience that culminates in a celebratory showcase of their accomplishments.
  The AJM Scholarship Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that exists to administer cash scholarship awards to Distinguished Young Women program participants across the country. The Foundation Board of Directors is a separate governing body that makes policy decisions and administers funds for the national Distinguished Young Women program as well as many state and local programs across the country.
  To positively impact the lives of young women by providing a transformative experience that promotes and rewards scholarship, leadership and talent.
  Distinguished Young Women is proud to have awarded more than $93 million in cash scholarships to participants at the local, state, and national levels over the past 54 years. During the 2011 program year, participants received more than $2 million in cash scholarships at programs across the nation.
   In addition to offering cash scholarships, Distinguished Young Women also works with colleges and universities across the country to provide opportunities for our participants to further their education. Nearly 200 colleges and universities have offered scholarships to contestants. Some scholarships are available to any participant that takes part in a local or state progam
